As a licenced QBCC Plastering Company a contract will be put in place for any quote over $3300 including GST.

We use a basic contract which clearly outlines:

  • Your details
  • The quote detailing areas
  • Your cooling off period
  • Payment terms

We are obligated to inform you of a reasonable amount of time the job will take.

We will provide you with:

  • A tentative start date
  • A tentative completion date
  • A call to confirm the start date and time
  • The names of our plasterers the day before we start

Before, during and on completion, we will inform you of what to expect:

  • How to prepare your home / business before we arrive

Are you QBCC Licensed?

Yes we are.  In fact, we are eager to verify on request.  We advise that you always use a QBCC licensed contractor on any and all work and request proof they have paid the QBCC Home Warranty Insurance for their work on jobs over $3300.  Click to read the QBCC page for painting.

Do you have proof of past work?

Visit our gallery to see examples of all our residential or commercial work.  We are proud of all the work we have done in the past, and are all too happy to show it to you.  We encourage you to always check the previous work of any plasterer you choose.

Do your quotes include details of the scope of work?

Yes.  Every quote we provide covers the setting up, preparation and work undertaken, in areas required.  This ensures that you have clear understanding of exactly what you are paying for.

Why a contract?

Not only is it a requirement to be QBCC licensed for any plastering work over $3,300, but it is also our license responsibility to put a contract in place for all work over $3,300.  It contains a clearly worded Contract Information Statement which we will explain on request.

Do you require a deposit?

PowerHouse does not ask for a deposit for work under $3,300.  On such jobs, we only require you to pay on completion, and that’s all.  In terms of larger plastering jobs, the Domestic Building Contracts Act 2000 requires that, if the value of the domestic plastering work is for more than $3,300, but less than $20,000, you should never pay a deposit for more than 10% of the total contract price.
